About

Dr. Jonathan Gordin is an interventional cardiologist who practices in downtown Los Angeles. He specializes in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, and the catheter-based interventional management of complex coronary disease. He provides excellent care to his patients by fostering a sense understanding and open communication, and by being available when they need him.  He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Gordin received his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then stayed at Weill Cornell Medicine for his residency, during which he received the Distinguished Housestaff award.

After his residency, Dr. Gordin and his wife moved to Los Angeles, where he completed his fellowship in cardiology at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, serving as a chief fellow in his final year. During his training, he also earned his Master of Science degree in clinical research by participating in the Specialty Training and Advanced Research (STAR) program. His research project explored the impact of cardiovascular disorders on survival rates after liver transplantation.

Dr. Gordin competed his clinical training with a fellowship in interventional cardiology at UCLA. He earlier earned his undergraduate degree in engineering from Cornell University in New York.
