About

Dr. Brian Francis holds the Rupert and Gertrude Steiger Vision Research Chair at Doheny Eye Centers-UCLA and is a leading expert in the field of glaucoma surgical treatment and diagnostics. He is a pioneer in the field of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), a new group of surgeries including Trabectome, iStent, canaloplasty, endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation (ECP), as well as others still in clinical trials. He also has an interest in new imaging modalities in glaucoma diagnosis including optical coherence tomography (OCT) and ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM).
