Our Mission

Waiting Room : Gonda Diabetes Center
  • To provide outstanding clinical care to patients with diabetes mellitus
  • To educate patients, the public and members of the healthcare profession about diabetes
  • To advance the understanding of diabetes by conducting high quality research

We are an integrated multi-disciplinary clinic offering care to patients with all forms of diabetes, including type 1 and 2 diabetes as well as pregnancy and diabetes, MODY and diabetes after pancreas removal. We staff expert physicians experienced in offering multiple treatment modalities. The Gonda Diabetes Center also has knowledgeable certified diabetes nurse educators and dieticians who work collaboratively with our physicians to provide the highest level of care. Physicians not within the division of Endocrinology are invited to refer patients for education, which is delivered via workshop settings or one-on-one visits.

We also partner with the Gonda (Goldschmied) Vascular Center. Their physicians provide vascular imaging and care for the patient with vascular disease. We also have experts from Cardiology and Nephrology available for consult to provide care in the treatment of dyslipidemia, hypertension, and related cardiovascular and renal diseases.  Our group has also established relationships with pediatric endocrinology and is well-skilled in the effort of providing transitional care for adolescents with diabetes.
